Bakflip Tonneau Cover-Stake Holes Left Open

Something I would like to mention about the Bakflip G2 Tonneau Cover is that the stake holes are left open. First of all let me clarify this for a few who may not know what the stake holes are. They are the holes on the top of your truck side rails which can be used for a number of things such as,

  • Rail protectors (Bars that go along the top of your side rails to protect the top of your side rails from scratching and denting)

  • Tie Downs (Hooks or rings that go on top of your side rails in the stake holes for tying onto, to secure your cargo)

  • Racks (Very useful and used to haul longer type cargo such as, canoes, kayaks, Ladders, pipe etc., Keeps the cargo up and out of your truck box so you are free to use your truck box for other things.)

If you don`t already have any of the above you can either purchase aftermarket products or you can even get plugs to plug them off. A rack is offered through the checkout options when buying a bakflip G2 truck cover when you go through the buy links at my site.
Many tonneau covers do not leave the stake holes available. They are covered over with the tonneau cover. Make sure when purchasing a truck cover about the stake holes if you are wanting to add or keep these accessories for your truck.
